Why Give?

More than a century ago, Miss Ida Eldredge envisioned a safe, nurturing South End settlement house that would be available to all families, children and seniors regardless of economic means. To accomplish this goal, Miss Eldredge reached out to the South End and Boston Community to support Ellis Memorial. Today, Ellis Memorial continues to rely upon the generosity of our community and neighbors, alumni, parents and friends to keep tuition and program fees at a reasonable level and encourage the socioeconomic diversity that is central to the mission of Ellis Memorial.
